26 October, Kyiv. UNFPA transferred vehicle Skoda Oktavia to Kyiv city center of social services for family, children and youth within the framework of the project “Support to establishing a comprehensive system of social services for young drug users” funded by European Commission and UNFPA. The vehicle will be used to support implementation of prevention programmes at the city level.

Dr. Borys Vornyk, Head of UNFPA Country Office in Ukraine, Mr. Valeriy Tantsura, Director of Kyiv city center of social services for family, children and youth, personnel of the center and volunteers were present at solemn signing of documents related to vehicle transfer.     

During vehicle transfer Mr. Tantsura thanked to UNFPA Country Office in Ukraine and stated that the project made significant contribution into development of the system of services for young drug users and prevention activities. Thus, during the project implementation UNFPA had provided city center with sets of audiovisual equipment and stationary and conducted trainings for center’s personnel and volunteers.

Dr. Borys Vornyk stressed on the importance of continuation of project activities in order to insure its sustainability and improve results achieved under the project.
